Chardham Yatra
Destination covered :
Haridwar –Barkot–“Yamunotri”- Uttarkashi- “Gangotri”– Harsil – Rudraprayag - Karnprayag - Sonprayag - Vishnuprayag - Devprayag – “Kedarnath”-Guptkashi - Ukimath - Chopta- Kedarnath -“Badrinath”
Day 01 : Delhi/ Haridwar(200 kms/ 5 hrs.)
You will be met at a pick up point and drive to Haridwar. On arrival check in at the hotel. Evening visit to Mansa Devi Temple and enjoy Aarti at Har ki Pauri.
Overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 02 : Haridwar/ Barkot(205 kms/ 8 hrs.)
0700 hrs : After breakfast proceed to Barkot via Mussoorie. En route visit Kempty fall. Upon arrival check in into the hotel, rest of the day is at leisure.
No activities : Reach Barkot and have proper rest. Acclimatize your mind and body to start a trek next day to Yamunotri from JanakiChatti.
Dinner and overnight stay at hotel at Hotel.
Day 03 : Barkot – same day excursion to Yamuntri Temple.( 35 kms. Drive + 6 kms. Trek – one way)
0600 hrs. After lite breakfast drive to Jankichatti, trek start from here to Yamunotri (6kms). Either by walk or by horse or by Doli. Arr. Yamunotri, One can cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of the hot kund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice home as "Prasad". Here near the temple "Pooja" can be offered to Divya Shila, After taking bath in Jamunabai Kund's warn water and having "Darshan" of pious "Yamunaji" returning to Jankichatti.
Surya Kund: There are a Number of thermal springs in the vicinity of the temple, which flows into numerous pools. The most important of these is Surya Kund.
Divya Shila: A rock pillar, worshipped before entering the Yamunotri Temple.
After taking darshan at the tapt kund, Pooja darshan walk down to Janki Chatti.
1530 hrs. drive down to Barkot
1900 hrs. Dinner
Over night stay at the hotel.
Day 04 : Barkot / Uttarkashi ( 100 kms/ 3 hrs.)
1000 hrs. After late breakfast drive to Uttarkashi enroute visit Shiv Gufha on arrival check in at the hotel.
1600 hrs. evening visit the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Shakti Temple. – enjoy the aarti.
2000 hrs. Dinner
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 05 : Uttarkashi/ Gangotri/ Uttarkashi – (200 kms./ 9 hrs.) – same day excursion to Gangotri Temple
After breakfast drive to Gangotri enroute visiting Ganganai & Harsil, on arrival proceed for darshan and Pooja at the temple.
Gangotri Temple: The temple, constructed by the Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa in the 18th Century, is situated on the right bank of Bhagirathi.
Submerged Shivling: Submerged in the river, this natural rock Shivling is the place where, according to mythology Lord Shiva sat when he received the Ganga in his matted lock. It is visible in winter months when water level decreases.
Later drive to Uttarkashi. On arrival check in at the hotel.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 06 : Uttarkashi/ Sitapur (245 kms: 08 hrs)
0700 hrs. After breakfast drive to Sitapur enroute visiting Tehri Dam.
1900 hrs. On arrival check in at the hotel.
2000 hrs. Dinner
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 07 : Sitapur/ Kedarnath (Trekking 19 kms.)
0600 After early breakfast drive to Gauri Kund where you start trek to Kedarnath. On arrival check in at the Government Camps. Later proceed to darshan of Kedarnath G later come back to camp for over night stay.
Overnight stay at the Camps.
Day 08 Kedarnath / Sitapur (Trekking 19 kms.)
Early morning proceed to darshan of Kedar Baba and after the puja trek down to Gaurikund, later drive to Sitapur.
On arrival check in at the hotel.
Dinner – Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 09 : Sitpaur/ Badrinath(230 kms./ 8 hrs)
0700 hrs. after breakfast drive to Badrinath via Chopta &Joshimath. Check in Hotel.
Evening attend the aarti at Badrinath temple.
2000 hrs. Dinner.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 :Badrinath/ Rudraprayag(155 kms/ 7 hrs.)
Early morning, pilgrims after having a bath in the Taptkund have the Darshan of Badrivishal. Brahamakapal is significant for Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus).
Badrinath
There are other interesting sight seeing spot like Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund and the "Mukh" of the Saraswati River. Just within the three kms of Badrinathjee.
Badrinath one of the 'Four Dhams' is one of the most celebrated pilgrimage spots of the country and is situated at an elevation of 3,133 meters, guarded on either side by the two mountain ranges known as Nar & Narayan with the towering Neelkanth Peak providing a splendid backdrop. This revered spot was once carpeted with wild berries. Thus the place got the name "Badri van", meaning "forest of berries".
Tapt Kund : Natural thermal springs on the bank of the river Alaknanda, where it is customary to bathe before entering the Badrinath temple.
Narad Kund : A recess in the river, near Tapt Kund, forming a pool from where the Badrinath idol was recovered.
Brahama Kapal : A flat platform on the bank of river Alaknanda. Hindus perform proppitiating rites for their deceased ancestors.
Sheshnetra : 1.5kms. away is a boulder having an impression of the legendary serpent, better known as the Sheshnag's eye.
Charanpaduka : 3kms. away is a beautiful meadow where the footprint of Lord Vishnu is seen on a boulder.
Mata MurtyTemple : Devoted to the mother of Sri Badrinathji. Other important temples include SeshNetra Temple, Urvashi Temple and Charanpaduka.
Mana Village : Inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe, it is the last Indian village before Tibet.
Vasundhara : As the name suggests, vasundhara is a magnificent water fall. This place is 5 kms. from Badrinath out of which 2 kms. is motorable upto Mana.
BhimPul : On the other side of Mana village, a massive rock forming a natural bridge, lies over the roaring Saraswati river. It presents a spectacular view of water thundering down through the narrow passage under the rock and is believed to have been placed there by Bhim, the second eldest among the five Pandava brothers.
Vyas Gufa (cave) : Near Mana Village, this is a rock-cave where Ved Vyas is believed to have composed the Mahabharata and the pauranic commentaries.
1000 hrs. after breakfast drive back to Rudraprayag. Check in Hotel.

Day 11 : Rudraprayag/ Devprayag/ Haridwar (165 kms/ 6 hrs)
0800 hrs. After breakfast drive to Haridwar en route visiting Devprayag& Rishikesh,
Devprayag : one of the panch prayags where rivers Alaknanda and Bhagirathi meet and takes the name Ganga.
Visit Raghunath G Temple : It is believed that Lord Ram and his father King Dushratha did penance here. The temple here is believed that was built more then ten thousand years ago revealing the history of existence of Lord Krishna & Lord Rama.
Rishikesh
Rishikesh, the 'place of sages' is a celebrated spiritual town on the bank of Ganga and is surrounded by Shivalik range of the Himalayas on three sides. It is said that when Raibhya Rishi did hard penances, God appeared by the name of " Hrishikesh " and this area hence firth came to be known as Rishikesh.
Ram Jhula / Laxman Jula : one of the land marks of Rishikesh, it is believed that Laxman crossed the Ganges on jute ropes between the place the bridge is built.
SwaragAshram : situated on the foot of the Himalayas on the left banks of the ganges between Laxman Jhula & Rishikesh, filled with concentration of ashrams and temples. The place has been know for ages and popular with Yogi and Rishis meditating.
Parmarth Niketan : one of the most popular ashrams where kids get VEDAS education.
Neelkanth Mahadev Temple :the temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Legends say that the venom that oozed out while the
‘SamudraManthan’ was ingested by Lord Shiva at the place which is now known as the NilkanthMahadeo.

Day 12 : Haridwar / Delhi (200 kms/ 6 hrs.)
0900 hrs : After breakfast drive to Delhi – proceed for onward journey.
